WVU Baseball released their 56 game 2025 schedule on Thursday, with highlights including the home opener against Ohio at 2pm on February 25, the Big 12 opener on the road against Oklahoma State (March 14) and at home against Arizona (6:30pm on Friday, March 21), and midweek games against Marshall (March 25th) and Pitt (April 2).

The Mountaineers, beginning a new era with longtime assistant coach Steve Sabins taking over for Randy Mazey, will open their season at Jacksonville on Friday, February 14 for a four game series.

Up next is a three game slate against Lipscomb in Nashville the weekend of February 21, then a four game series against Queens University of Charlotte the following weekend.

Home conference series include Big 12 newcomer Utah (weekend of April 4), Cincinnati (beginning Thursday, April 17), Texas Tech (weekend of May 2) and Kansas (beginning Thursday, May 15).

WVU Baseball will also rack up some serious frequent flier miles, traveling to BYU beginning on Thursday, March 27, Houston the weekend of April 11, UCF the weekend of April 25 and Kansas State the weekend of May 9.

The Big 12 Tournament will run from May 21 to May 24, once again at the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field.

Single game and season tickets will go on sale at a date yet to be announced. Start times have been announced for all 25 home games, but some of the road games don’t have a listed first pitch yet.

In recent seasons, the Mountaineers have also travelled to PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, for a neutral site game against Pitt, but that hasn’t been announced yet.

For a related story, WVU baseball legend Jedd Gyorko returned to the program to join the staff.
