WVU OL Tomas Rimac Commits to Virginia Tech
Former WVU offensive lineman Tomas Rimac will be following Matt Moore to Virginia Tech, committing to move from the Big 12 to the ACC according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Rimac entered the transfer portal on Dec. 18 and Moore was announced as joining Virginia Tech on Dec. 23.
The 6-foot-6, 318-pound Brunswick, Ohio native has 28 starts under his belt from 2021-25.
Rimac was a three-star rated offensive tackle out of high school. 247Sports rated Rimac as the 42nd best recruit out of Ohio and just outside the top-100 tackles at 101. Rivals had him as the No. 50 prospect from Ohio.
Rimac had received a lot of attention from Ohio schools, including offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Kent State, Toledo and Youngstown State. He also had offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Western Michigan, Temple, Purdue, Louisville, Buffalo, Indiana and Pitt.
