4-Star Kamari Blair Talks Getting to Know New WVU OL Coach
Recently, offensive line coach Jack Bicknell and the WVU football staff made sure Kamari Blair, a 4-star out of Clarksville, Tenn., knows West Virginia is still very interested in recruiting him.
Blair, the 6-foot-6 245 pound linemen is familiar with the West Virginia program, as the previous staff handed him an offer in November of 2024. Ken Signoretti and Matt Moore led the way in offering Blair at that time.
On Jan. 15, Bicknell officially extended another offer to Blair to reignite the Mountaineers’ pursuit.

Bicknell and Blair then spent the conversation getting to know each other. “We got to know each for a while, and he said he loves my film,” said Blair. Although the old staff having Blair on their radar may have kept this door open, Bicknell seemed to have Blair on his own personal radar for some time. “He (Bicknell) said he was going to offer me anyways,” stated Blair.
Bicknell is a seasoned coach, making numerous stops between Division I and the NFL, highlighted by being apart of the New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI. winning team. Blair is also aware of the success of Bicknell.
“He is a very seasoned coach, who has been in the NFL and won a Super Bowl,” said Blair about what he knows of Bicknell’s career.
“He said he is the right person to play for if I want to get into the NFL,” Blair continued.
The offensive line position will be one position group on the offensive side of the ball where their conditioning, agility, and versatility will be a must under head coach Rich Rodriguez’s offense. Although, Kirkwood High School, where Blair currently plays, runs a similar offensive scheme, “I play in a high tempo offense, so it (Coach Rodriguez’s scheme) feels normal.”
Kamari holds a plethora of offers, with notable ones coming from Ole Miss, Kentucky and Indiana.
