WVU Against Elite Programs on Top 10 List for 2026 4-Star CB

West Virginia finds themselves among several major brands on Hakim Satterwhite’s top 10. The 2026 cornerback announced his top schools on Wednesday, placing the WVU in a group that also includes the likes of Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State.

Beyond those elite programs, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami (FL), Missouri and Syracuse are still in the running.

Satterwhite’s new list comes out on the heels of his recent trip to visit WVU. He even posted about his experience in Morgantown earlier in the week, saying “great day at Dub V yesterday” on Feb. 2.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 183 pounds, Satterwhite attends St. John’s Academy and is considered one of the top players in Washington, DC.

He’s ranked as a three-star by most national recruiting outlets, but has been awarded four stars by ESPN. In fact, ESPN has Satterwhite as one of their top 300 players.

Satterwhite received his first offer from West Virginia way back in May of 2023. To this point, WVU has beat out schools like Auburn, Boston College, Florida State, Indian, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and several others. Bill Belichick and North Carolina even recently offered Satterwhite on Jan. 17.
