The Big 12 Conference released the seedings and brackets for the 2025 Big 12 Wrestling Championships this weekend, with five Mountaineers earning spots to represent WVU wrestling in the top eight of their respective weight classes.

Fifth-year senior Peyton Hall headlines the West Virginia participants with a No. 2 seed in the 165-pound bracket. Jett Strickenberger is No. 3 at 125, Ian Bush sits at No. 5 at 197, Brody Conley is No. 6 at 174 and Dennis Robin is the seventh seed at 184.

Hall enters the tournament with a stellar 26-1 record. He is seeded only behind Utah Valley’s Terrell Barraclough in the 165-pound bracket.

Barraclough gave Hall his lone defeat of the season with a 5-2 decision victory in a dual meet on Feb. 6. With 126 career victories, Hall needs just two to tie Greg Jones for the most in program history.

Strickenberger improved his stock in the 125-pound bracket after claiming eight consecutive dual meet victories, including five over ranked opponents, prior to his defeat against Arizona State in the regular season finale.

Conley has won five consecutive matches heading into the tournament. The redshirt sophomore is 13-6 on the season. Bush has compiled 10 victories and became the regular starter at 197 pounds after the departure of Austin Cooley. Robin’s next victory would give him 75 for his career.

The two-day event will be held Saturday and Sunday at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Action begins at 11 a.m. Saturday for session one, followed by session two at 1 p.m. Sunday, both on ESPN+. The championship finals will then be broadcast on ESPNU at 9 p.m. Sunday.
